Cafe Lehua is a Cafe specializing in traditional Hawaiian flavors, confectionery, and baked goods. It will be located on Mills 50 in a cute and cozy yet popular place. Hawaii is usually marketed in an unauthentic way with the “Tiki Bar” Aesthetic. I want to curate a space where Hawaii is represented properly with real Hawaiian flavors and foods. The Lehua flower is representative of the Hawaiian goddess Pele. It stands for resilience and strength despite harsh conditions. The Lehua flower is known to bloom after after new lava flows.
